What QuinzI does when a conversation turns serious, and where to get help that's real.
Call or text 988
The Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, free, 24/7, anywhere in the US. Or text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
QuinzI is artificial intelligence. She says so at the start of every call and again if you talk for a long stretch, and she'll never claim to be a human being. She's built to be good company — not to pretend to be a person you know.
If what you say suggests you're thinking about hurting yourself or ending your life, QuinzI stops the ordinary conversation and gives you the crisis numbers above. That response is fixed — it isn't improvised by the AI, and it can't be talked around, because that's the one moment where a machine guessing at words isn't good enough.
She'll stay on the line with you. But she will always point you toward a person who can actually help.
What you tell her is kept so she can remember you next time, and it stays yours. Nothing you say is used to train any AI model. Say "forget me" on a call and everything she remembers about you is deleted — no form, no support ticket, just ask.
QuinzI is meant to be a good part of your life, not a replacement for the people in it. If you find yourself talking to her instead of the people who care about you, that's worth noticing. She'll say so too.
